Definisi Adjective
Adjective atau kata sifat adalah kata yang menjelaskan kata benda (noun) atau kata ganti (pronoun).
Contoh : Ugly girls and i’am tall
Ciri -Ciri Adjective
a. Setelah To Be
To Be dapat digunakan sebagai kata penghubung antara subjek dengan kata sifat (adjective), baik itu “am, is, are, was dan were”.
Contoh : we are tired
b. Sebelum Kata Benda (Noun)
Kata sifat dapat diletakkan sebelum kata benda (noun) untuk memberikan makna yang lebih spesifik atau memberikan batasan pada sebuah kata.
Contoh : I love the tall girl
Macam-Macam Adjective
a. Numeric: six, one hundred and one
b. Quantitative: more, all, some, half, more than
enough
c. Qualitative: colour, size, smell etc.
d. Possessive: my, his, their, your
e. Interrogative: which, whose, what
f. Demonstrative: this, that, those, these
